K. Dam – Stone Poster – Quartz

In Europe and in the Middle East the different varieties of quartz were the most commonly used for the various types of jewelry and hardstone carving. This includes engraved gems and rock crystal vases. Objects made of quartz was very highly valued until the mid-19th century, when it largely fell from fashion – except in jewelry. We love the rough shape of this magnificent mineral – nature; you’ve done it again!

Kristina Dam Studio, launched in 2012, is a danish design studio doing their best to keep things as simple as possible. We do furniture, posters and illustrations, accessories and sculptures. The materials we use are massive and carefully selected and our production is based in Europe. The major lines in the design are clear and graphic.
